Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about policy coverage, claims procedures, quote timelines, and our modern digital operating layer.
Claims & Incidents
Under WPI policy terms, First Notice of Loss (FNOL) should be submitted within 48 to 72 hours of the incident. You can use our online Report a Claim portal 24/7 or visit our nearest branch office in Port Moresby, Lae, Mount Hagen, or Kokopo.
You will need: (1) A completed FNOL report, (2) Photos of the vehicle damage and accident scene, (3) An official Police Accident Report from your local station, (4) A valid driver's license copy, and (5) A certified repair quote from an approved panel beater.
Yes. Once submitted, you receive a unique tracking reference (e.g. WPI-CLM-2026-00101). You can check its milestone status in real-time via the Track Claim page or from your Customer Portal dashboard.
Quotes & Coverage
Our online wizard guides you through selecting your product, entering your details, and providing risk information (such as vehicle specs or building construction). Our underwriting team evaluates the risk and issues an official proposal within 24–48 business hours.
Online quotes provide an official indicative proposal. To bind the policy, our underwriting team verifies documentation (e.g. asset valuation, MVIL registration), after which a policy schedule and Certificate of Currency are issued through InsuredHQ.
Yes. WPI specializes in commercial fleet insurance tailored for Papua New Guinea transport operators. We provide aggregated deductibles, telematics ratings, and Highlands Highway route endorsements.
Payments & Self-Service
We accept BSP Pay online, Kina Bank electronic funds transfer (EFT), direct bank deposits into our ANZ/BSP trust accounts, Digicel CellMoni mobile transfers, and in-person payments at any WPI branch counter.
Active policyholders can log into the Customer Portal, navigate to "Documents", and instantly download certified Certificates of Currency in PDF format.
Technology & Platform
This platform serves as KraipTech's modern digital operating layer. It captures customer quotes and FNOL claims online (FACE), manages local workflows, and connects bi-directionally with WPI's core InsuredHQ platform via secure APIs without requiring core replacements.
For regional operations where PNG telecommunications may experience downtime, the upcoming Stage 3 OFFLINE module equips field officers with an Android application running local SQLite storage that seamlessly syncs when connectivity is restored.
